Antonio Tarver has told ESPN that he has signed
on to play Rocky's opponent Mason Dixon in the next Rocky film simply titled,
Rocky Balboa, beating rumoured contender Roy Jones Jr to the role.

"You're looking at Mason 'The Line' Dixon. I'm
the heavyweight champion of the world and unfortunately Rocky's got to come
back to see me!" said Tarver. "I believe we're gonna start shooting around
December 1st. We are filming this reality style. We'll be filming in Las
Vegas the weekend of the Jermaine Taylor Hopkins fight...after they jump
off the scale, we'll jump on, ha. Me and Sly have had a 10-year friendship.
He's the director and he wrote the film. He told me he wrote it with me
in mind, that's a big compliment."
Eh? I thought he wrote it with Jones Jr in mind? All the same… Well done to Tarver.
