Halloween Scoop Bag

Poltergeist
Hey all, we assumed everybody would be extremely
busy this ghoulish weekend and figured to we might as well save the updates
for Sunday. However, we have recently received an increased amount of incoming
email from our readers and thought we'd post some of them for interest only.
We have not confirmed any of these posts.
Movie Scoop Bag
The first email that we have selected has to do
with Poltergeist 4 -- Poltergeist Kayeri.
Got a couple more bits of info on it for you gents - if you're keen.
Craig T.Nelson would be returning to star as the father in it, as
you said. It's called "Poltergeist Kayeri" and was over at MGM.
I know a little bit more about it - if it happens or not, I
dunno - I know that Sony is the studio behind it, Clint Morris is
the writer, and I know that there was talk of Hilary Duff playing
the older Carol-Anne. Duff, I just don't see - but that's the name
that's come up. She is blonde - I guess? I sense that was a 'studio'
suggestion.
Please use a codename for me...
We shall call you 'BBK'.
The second email we selected featured a couple quick Sylvester Stallone
updates from our new friend 'shannon.'
ROCKY 6:
www.Stallonezone.com
and www.Wikipedia.org
report that Dolph Lundgren will appear briefly in the film, Rocky is supposed
to visit Ivan Drago in hospital where he is dying of AIDS in Rocky Balboa.
RAMBO IV
Tommy Lee Jones is in talks to join the cast of Rambo 4, says www.Stallonezone.com.
Jones would play the role of Colonel Trautman, previously played by Richard
Crenna in the first three movies. Crenna died a couple of years back.
And, for the final piece of digital media, we have
an interesting report from 'C-Man' on the shopping habits of Andrew McCarthy.
Anyway, long boring story short - - - - I had
the pleasure of 'literally' bumping into the wonderful Andrew McCarthy at
Tower Records /Sunset today. You may remember he was the guy in all those
John Hughes movies. Such a great actor in his time - haven't seen him in
anything since that crappy Stephen King series from a couple of years back.
Anyway, I was piling through the soundtracks - looking for the "Sky High"
soundtrack actually, which was near best sellers, as it turned out - and
turned and bumped into the guy. I was a bit shocked when I saw his face.
He just smiled, and kept walking. He was still browsing so I thought I would
say hello and congratulate him on his work - wow, what an amiable fellow,
he shook my hand, said he "really appreciates that" and so on.
I asked him what he was up to and he said he's in L.A to meet on a "Mannequin"
sequel - him and Kim Cattrall. He then said something about a film called
'Oprhanage King' or 'Orphan King' and said he's in that.
Anyway, I know it's not much and I know he's not a big star these days,
but it was good of him to chat so I thought I'd send it your way.
BTW - he had a couple of CD's in his mitts, one was the Mulholland Drive
Soundtrack.
For some reason I found myself chuckling through the last bit of email.
Anyway, I think that just may do it for this Saturday on Halloween weekend.
Happy Halloween! Be Safe!
Stay tuned for updates.
