If you want to see dinosaurs, Ann Darrow [Naomi
Watts] being thrown from the hand of a giant ape down to a foot, action,
an old school New York, lots of tears, bi-planes, cars getting thrown, a
serious Jack Black, a tribe that look like Morlocks from Time Machine,
people running and so many other cool things, then you have got to check
out the full movie trailer for King
Kong!
King Kong Trailer
The Inside Look featurette for King Kong
was a great hint on how this trailer was going to be. Showing a few bits
from the film, the featurette warmed us up to scenes such as the now-infamous
Kong vs bi-plane sequence. You know, the shot where Kong shows off a thirty-foot
vertical as he jumps to take out a bi-plane like we would swipe at a gnat.
Great stuff.
Other than that, the trailer for King Kong definitely hints that
this film is aimed at being emotional, probably something similar to the
finishing moments of The Return of the King. You know, the last
fifteen minutes that forced audiences to become choked up [my sisters were
bawling].
If Peter Jackson nails this film, something that is looking pretty good,
he will be the new golden god of directors.

King Kong comes to theatres on December 14th, 2005.
