Hoodwinked! Poster
A couple of days ago we received an alert from
the good people at The Weinstein Company that they have recently released
an exclusive first trailer for their upcoming CG animation Hoodwinked!
online. Though it took us a bit of time to find it, and a couple of annoying
Nickelodeon shows, we have finally found the trailer.
Hoodwinked! Movie Trailer
Though Hoodwinked! does look pretty dang
funny with its adult-ish humor and the tons of parodies, some may not dig
the CG animation. In general, let me just say that the animation used in
Hoodwinked! is not top of the line, but more like something you would see
on a Saturday morning CG cartoon; Ok, a bit better than that. So, if you
are planning to see Hoodwinked! don't expect ground breaking animation
such as that witnessed in Shrek 2 or what we expect from Over
the Hedge.
Other than the animation, Hoodwinked! does look like it is chock-full
of humorous jokes and parodies. However, it is finding the trailer for the
animation that is the problem. Here is a step by step:
-Click on this link
-Upon arriving to the Nickelodeon site, click on NICKSCLUSIVES in the upper
right
-The first thumbnail on the list should be that for the Hoodwinked!
trailer.
-Wash. Repeat if necessary.
-Enjoy!
In the re-telling of this classic fable, Hoodwinked!
begins at the end. Chief Grizzly (Xzibit) and Detective Bill Stork (Anthony
Anderson) investigate a domestic disturbance at Granny’s (Glenn Close) cottage,
involving a karate-kicking Red Riding Hood (Anne Hathaway), a sarcastic
wolf (Patrick Warburton) and an oafish Woodsman (Jim Belushi). The charges
are many: breaking and entering, intent to eat, wielding an axe without
a license, but these unusual suspects have their story to tell first.
