We recently received a big update from The Weinstein
Company announcing that a few of their starting lineup films have been adjusted
to new release dates. Though the dates on the films have changed, they have
NOT been pushed back.

Hoodwinked!-
December 23rd [adjusted from December 25th]
In the re-telling of this classic fable, the story begins at the end. Chief
Grizzly and Detective Bill Stork investigate a domestic disturbance at Granny's
cottage, involving a karate-kicking Red Riding Hood, a sarcastic wolf and
an oafish Woodsman. The charges are many: breaking and entering, intent
to eat, wielding an axe without a license, but these unusual suspects have
their story to tell first.

The
Libertine- November 25th [adjusted from November 23rd]
Johnny Depp stars in The Libertine as the scandalously decadent John Wilmot,
the second Earl of Rochester. The film follows the Earl's adventures in
London, from his passionate romance with a young actress, Elizabeth Barry
(Samantha Morton), to the writing of a scurrilous play which blisteringly
and bawdily lampoons the very monarch who commissioned it, Charles II (John
Malkovich), leading to the Earl's banishment and eventual downfall.

Wolf
Creek- December 25th [adjusted from January 6th]
It was supposed to be the vacation of a lifetime in the Australian Outback
– full of fun, sun and adventure. But what happened to a trio of twenty-something
backpackers took a wrenching detour into the depths of unrelenting terror.
Based on true events, WOLF CREEK is the haunting story of their unthinkable
ordeal – a mounting white-knuckle nightmare so real it was destined
to become horror legend. WOLF CREEK is a startlingly intense motion picture
experience of rapidly escalating dread and suspense. At the 2005 Sundance
Film Festival, the film – written and directed by Melbourne's Greg
McLean – was acclaimed as a daring, original blend of visually hypnotic
thriller with unbearably scary movie.
I have contacted The Weinstein Company about an official movie poster for
Wolf Creek, but so far we are still waiting.
