I know, I know... couldn't think of a better picture.
After initially hearing that Universal was inserted in a film that would be titled Turbulence, I figured we had another cheesy sequel on our hands with the tagline 'Fear is in the Air.'
Luckily, this isn't the case and Universal hopes this film is smooth flying.
Turbulence For Universal
According to Variety,
Universal Pictures has recently picked up the Tom Pabst drama pitch titled Turbulence. Though a script has yet to be penned, Mirage partners Sydney Pollack and Anthony Minghella are already in line to produce.
The script for Turbulence will be about an L.A.-based pilot who is frustrated by his life until, over the course of several flights to Tokyo, he stumbles on a conspiracy that fascinates him. Soon, he's drawn to commit a crime that leads him into the arms of a beautiful woman and into the Tokyo underworld.
Pabst's credits include the New Line film Fracture and the Warner Bros film Indianapolis. He's writing and exec producing Fox pilot Eye in the Sky.
