Hey all you wizards and witches of young and old, the Triwizard Tournament is only a couple days away and the positive reviews are really beginning to pour in.

Therefore, here is the second part of early reviews for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.

Goblet of Fire Movie Reviews

Here are three new movie reviews for the upcoming film Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. All of the three listed reviews claim that GOF is the best Potter film to date.

Montreal Film Journal
I did not hold high hopes for this newest Potter sequel. There have been many great trilogies, but when has a fourth instalment been any good? Things are bound to grow formulaic and tedious, as attempting to read J.K. Rowling's ever thicker later Potter tomes amply proved to me. Alfonso Cuaron managed to make his Prisoner of Azkaban significantly leaner and more stylish than Chris Colombus' slavishly faithful Philosopher's Stone and Chamber of Secrets, but I was sad to see that he wouldn't get another turn at the bat. Even more puzzling was the hiring of Mike Newell in his place; what the hell does he know about SFX-heavy fantasy epics? Shockingly enough, he's got an innate feel for the genre, it turns out, and "Goblet of Fire" now ranks as the best Harry Potter picture yet.

Movie-Reviews
Four down, three to go. With each new Harry Potter movie, the stakes are elevated. Director Mike Newell has given the series a fresh look without undoing the ground work established by his predecessors. In the realm of fantasy adventure, Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire is a strong entry. Although the series as a whole falls short of what Peter Jackson achieved with The Lord of the Rings, it creeps closer with each new entry (of the four Harry Potter pictures, there hasn't yet been a weak one). And it won't be possible to assess the series as whole until all seven movies are available. Until then, let me write that Harry Potter has become a rare cinematic constant - something to be anticipated every year or two..

Three Movie Buffs
Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire isn't just the best Harry Potter movie so far. It's also one of the best movies of the year. It's fast paced, action packed and faithful to the books, even while trimming quite a bit of the plot elements. Where The Prisoner of Azkaban began the departure from page to screen, Goblet of Fire truly finishes the transition so that the movies are finally standing on their own as great entertainment.

So far, every Harry Potter movie has gotten better than the last. With The Goblet of Fire, Mike Newell has set the bar so high, that I don't know if it will be possible for anyone to surpass it.

Well, that is it for the latest round up of early reviews for Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. For the next set, expect to see a negative or two.
