Thomas Jane in The Punisher
Producer Ed Pressman's Pressman & Co. Films has announced that "The Punisher" star Thomas Jane to topline its sci-fi/action epic The Mutant Chronicles, based on the role-playing board game of the same name.
Jane for Mutant Chronicles
According to Variety,
The Mutant Chronicles is scheduled to begin filming this spring with Jane Thomas set to lead. However, further casting is currently under way.
This announcement comes after a decade of delays for The Mutant Chronicles, with Voltage Pictures recently signing on as the film's foreign sales rep at the recent American Film Market.
The Mutant Chronicles is set in the 23rd century, in which four giant corporations have pillaged the last of the planet's resources, causing a demonic, marauding army of underworld NecroMutants to wage war against humans for what remains. Jane will play a battle-weary Marine who leads a squad of soldiers against the alien hordes.
Thomas Jane can also be seen in The Weinstein Company's upcoming film Killshot.
