Though the film reminds me of an uncomfortable mix of How Stella Got Her Groove Back and Guess Who, there are some laughs to be had in interracial dating when it comes to the upcoming film Something New. However, 'new' meaning white guy.

I was recently alerted to the trailer for the romance/comedy Something New and have to admit that it looks like it could be one film that I guy could visit with his girlfriend; but I still wouldn't push it. The film names
Sanaa Lathan, Simon Baker, Lee Garlington, Mike Epps, Golden Brooks among its comedic cast.
Something New is a romantic comedy about finding love when and where it's least expected. Kenya (Sanaa Lathan) is a beautiful career woman who has achieved great professional success but still yearns for a fulfilling personal life. Looking for that "perfect man," she even has a checklist at the ready. When she's set up on a blind date with Brian (Simon Baker), a sexy and free-spirited landscaper who's not exactly what she'd pictured for herself, Kenya is not amused...but she does need help fixing up the yard of her new house. An emotional and often hilarious movie about following your heart - no matter where it takes you.
