The Chronicles of Narnia The Chronicles of Narnia
Just before Thanksgiving we announced that all of you who are subscribers to the television network Starz! were in for a bit of a treat. Among the exclusive previews they were offering during the holiday weekend, the biggest of them was a nine-minute preview for the upcoming adventure The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe.

Though we first thought the special extended preview would never find its way online, we couldn't have been more excited by an alert claiming that you can watch the clip now! Narnia!

Chronicles of Narnia Extended Preview Clip

The foreign website TV4 has recently got its hands on the nine-minute clip for The Chronicles of Narnia. However, due to the sites inability to keep a solid video stream, by the time you finish watching the clip you may have just sat through nine minutes of actual clip, and six to seven minutes of repeat buffering; a whopping fifteen minutes!

All kidding aside, the best way to watch the latest extended preview for Narnia is to turn off your volume, go to TV4 and let the video load beforehand. This will take fifteen minutes, but the player caches the video into your browser, so you can go back and watch the video once it is complete without any buffering. Trust me, it sounds like a touch bit of work, but this way is SO much better.

How is the latest clip for Narnia? F*@kin' epic! However, this 'clip' is actually more of a giant trailer that offers multiple extended sequences through out the film. The preview takes us all the way from the opening intro to the film back to where the kids must fight the final battle and claim their right to the throne.

One of the major elements I had noticed from this latest clip and the full Chronicles of Narnia trailer is that Andrew Adamson has taken a lot of liberties with the story originally penned by CS Lewis. The director has exaggerated so many elements from the relatively short book that you can only love the guy for it. The build up to the battle and the battle itself are immense [only a couple pages in the book] and some of the added scenes just work to make the story look even better on film.

To watch the extended preview for The Chronicles of Narnia, head over to TV4. Remember, allow the video to load first in a 'minimized' window; you will thank me for it.

The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe opens its doors on December 9th.
