I think it is time I finally let all of you in on a big secret I have-- I have had a stalker-like crush on Milla Jovovich ever since the release of The Fifth Element. Sure, most would expect Return to the Blue Lagoon as the film that would have got me so hot on her [perverts], but her showing of beauty and violence in Fifth just nailed it for me.
It also turns out that one of my favorite films to watch over and over again is Equilibrium starring the great Christian Bale. The film is so uber-cool that I had been hoping for Kurt Wimmer [director] to get right back on the horse and create another film of this stature.
Now imagine the win-win I experienced when I found out that Kurt Wimmer was planning on moving forward with another Equilibrium-like film, even keeping the fighting style 'gunkata', that would star Milla Jovovich. Boing!
Ultraviolet Movie Still
I present to you the first movie still for the upcoming Kurt Wimmer film Ultraviolet. If you try to tell me that Milla Jovovich does not look smoking in that outfit, I may just get a wee bit upset. Though not much is known about the film as of yet, here is the formula that I am hoping to see by the final cut:
Kurt Wimmer [done] + Milla Jovovich in tight clothes [done] + gunkata [done] + a nude scene like Resident Evil [hopeful] + score by Klaus Badelt [his powerful music in Equilibrium was carried over to Pirates of the Caribbean, we need him] = one tight ass movie!
Well, at least that is what I am hoping for. You can check out the first synopsis for Ultraviolet below:
Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease (Hemophagia), giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence, and as they are set apart from "normal" and "healthy" humans, the world is pushed to the brink of worldwide civil war (a war between humans and hemophages) aimed at the destruction of the "diseased" population. In the middle of this crossed-fire is - an infected woman - Ultraviolet (Jovovich), who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy who has been marked for death by the human government as he is believed to be a threat to humans.
