Jackson answers questions for King Kong.
We obviously got a couple new King Kong updates coming your way before the week gets started beginning with the latest production diary for the film. However, unlike other production diaries that take us into some of the film processes that go on behind the scenes, this production diary is a solid Q&A session with Peter Jackson, as he answers questions from the fans.
King Kong Video Q&A
The latest video diary for King Kong features your standard set of questions about what it takes to make the film, the graphics and all the work that must go within. However, this video does feature two questions that are beyond what it takes to make the film and more strictly on decisions Peter Jackson made before filming begin.
One such question was why Jackson decided to keep with the 1930 setting instead of making the film contemporary; something that would have been easier to do. Peter Jackson, who has stated repeatedly his love for the original King Kong, claims that he wanted to 'embrace' the time period when doing the remake.
Another incredible question that was thrown into the mix was one from 'Pastor Mike.' King Kong will mark the fourth film that Peter Jackson has made where most moviegoers will enter the theatres already knowing the story and the ending. The question from Mike asks how Peter Jackson can pull off such amazing and emotionally drawn films when people have prior knowledge of what is going to happen. Peter Jackson offers the best, and most geek, answer that can only make you love the director-- 'You just got to make it a cool movie.'
