I have now begun to put a boycott on any new movie clips for the upcoming Peter Jackson film King Kong. From the clips I have seen already, I can tell that Universal Pictures is taking some liberties on what they want to show from the film, but that already may be a bit too much. So, no more shots of Kong fighting dinosaurs, Kong trying to spit game with Ann [Naomi Watts], or Kong playing Rampage through New York. What is that? New TV spots you say? Ok, ok, let me see these babies!
King Kong TV Spots
The new set of TV spots for King Kong released by Universal have been set up to show off some of the early reviews and taglines mentioned about the film. First off, if there is a single person out there who hasn't heard at least one extremely positive review for Kong, one would have to ask... where has this person been?
Other than the reviews, each of the TV spots shows additional footage from the film and not just the same old clips re-ordered in some fashion; which is refreshing. The new shots are quick, so they can look cool without spoiling the film for you.
For me, these latest TV spots for King Kong just serve as another reminder that December 14th isn't here yet; I want to see this film!
