Though we have been somewhat negative about The Pink Panther ever since learning about its conception, the full trailer does offer a ray of hope.
Pink Panther Trailer
First off, I think I was a little hard on the official poster for The Pink Panther the first time I saw it. I guess the fact that everything that had led up to the release of the poster had sucked for the film, I was just carrying hostilities forward. Now that I look at the one-sheet again, I do admit that the thing works.
Now that the poster is behind me, the good people over at MGM have recently released the full trailer for The Pink Panther and, to our surprise, the media actually has a couple defining moments. Will these moments be crowded out by silly and awkward scenes or can we expect more scenes such as the hotel bathroom? That moment in the trailer gave me a little bit of a Three Amigos chuckle.
A world-famous soccer coach has been murdered and his priceless ring has been stolen - a ring set with the stunning diamond known as the Pink Panther. The French government needs a master detective to solve the crime and recover the gem...but he's not available, so they recruit Inspector Jacques Clouseau. Comic superstar Steve Martin stars as Clouseau in an all-new adventure of The Pink Panther.
