Whoa! It has been some time since we have looked at the early reviews for King Kong and with its release coming our way in less than 48 hours who better critics to listen to than Ebert & Roeper?

King Kong Review

Ebert & Roeper are just the beginning in the latest set of movie reviews released for King Kong and, like before, they are all positive. Actually, we have seen one negative review but the complaint lied mostly in the running-time (whoopidy-freakin-doo).

Though their is currently no transcript for the King Kong review by Ebert & Roeper, we wrote down some of our favorite quotes.

Roeper
Peter Jackson's Kong is one awesome gorilla and this film has some of the most exciting and amazing action sequences I have ever seen.

Naomi Watts plays a nomination worthy performance as the beauty who bewitches the beast.

Kong has been brought to life with some of the most impressive special effects in film history.

The three hour running time is a bit too long, but despite those misgivings this is a great thrill ride.

This is your classic summer movie.

Ebert
This is a truly faithful, but ramped up, remake.

What Jackson does is brilliant, he makes [the relationship between Kong and Ann] more moving.

This is a great looking movie.

Let the countdown begin! King Kong returns to New York in less than two days. Read the entire review over at Ebert & Roeper.

King Kong comes to theatres on December 14th, 2005.
