The New World
Here is a brief update for all of you fans of Terrence Malick who will have his latest film, The New World, make it just in time for the holidays (limited release). Personally, I am getting a major Thin Red Line feeling here and hope that Malick can keep the bond between humans and nature to a minimum. Sometimes I find myself fast-forwarding ahead in Thin and am hoping this isn't the case for World.
The New World Movie Clip
The good people over at the LA Times have recently got the exclusive on the first movie clip for The New World. The clip shows off a scene between John Smith (Colin Farrell) and his Indian captures. Though he looked like he was a goner, Pocahontas steps in to save his ass. However, the tribe then wants
Pocahontas to stay close to John in order to figure out what the hell these new visitors want. Will the explorers be content with a piece of swampland or will more arrive demanding even more land?
Hard to say, but I guess we all know how that story turned out.
