Nicolas Cage is Johnny Blaze.
With all of the conflicting reports and accidental trailers popping out from Columbia Pictures I guess we should have expected something was up. With an opening in July of 2006, Ghost Rider is one of the few spring/summer blockbusters that has yet to release an 'official' movie trailer. Therefore, it comes as no surprise that Columbia Pictures has decided that pushing the release date for the film forward was a bad idea.
Ghost Rider Bounces Back to 2007
After having the release date for Ghost Rider pushed forward to July of 2006, Columbia Pictures has now decided that the year of 2006 just isn't for them. Be it the fact that the year is already filled with some big comic book adaptations or the possibility that Ghost Rider will not be ready, Columbia Pictures has announced that we must wait until 2007 to see Nicolas Cage as Johnny Blaze.
The new release date for Ghost Rider is: February 16, 2007 (President's Day)
