Though I am not all the ecstatic about Uwe Boll being behind a camera (again and again), I do admit that I am always curious to see what video game the director will try to adapt next. Uwe Boll has Bloodrayne coming out shortly and is currently working on a Dungeon Siege movie. But what will fill Boll's schedule after Dungeon Siege?
According to the latest alert sent in by 'Trevor', Uwe Boll is looking to work with Doomer Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson for an adaptation of the best-selling shooter Far Cry.
Far Cry Adaptation Coming?
We were recently alerted that Uwe Boll was open to discuss future video game adaptations and the director admits that not only does he have a film in mind but also has already thought of two options to star in it-- Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
Actually read this in a wrestling magazine last week, and now Uwe Boll's confirming it. The director (he did "Alone in the Dark") says he's chasing THE ROCK to star in "Far Cry", the movie version of the video game. I guess he'd play the main guy - an action hero who if has to escape a gorgeous island paradise while stopping a mad scientist's evil schemes.
His second choice for the lead is Jason Statham from "The Transporter".
The website Creature-Corner interviewed Uwe Boll and got him to talk about a bunch of possible Boll-films.
Any info on the film version of Postal?

And is it true that Gary Coleman will reprise his role from the game?
yes
What's going on with the rights to Hitman?
hoefully vin diesel is contacting me soon
Far Cry?
full financed, we go for THE ROCK or Jason Statham
Do you anticipate the change in German tax law next year to effect your ability to continue to get films financed?
the next three are financed
Since Far Cry is a 'newer' video game I wouldn't think that it has the necessary cult following that other video games usually need to get adapted; take Halo's strong fan base for example. I would also usually claim that by having The Rock on the cast we could assume one solid action flick, but his inability to carry DOOM puts a bit of a ding (a small ding) in his record.
