It seems like only yesterday when we were talking about how smoking hot Milla Jovovich looked in Kurt Wimmer's next action film-- Ultraviolet.
Well, it looks like Screen Gems (Sony) has picked up on the added attention and is beginning to not only create an official not-so-Sony website but the first official background image as well.
Ultraviolet Movie Site
A lot of people should expect maybe a bit of extra coverage for Ultraviolet from movie sites such as CanMag.Com just because so many were impressed by Wimmer's Equilibrium starring Christian Bale. And, considering Ultraviolet is looking more and more like a female version of that film, we can only expect the return of the fighting style gunkata and hopefully another dark score by Klaus Badelt.
Set in the late 21st century, a subculture of humans have emerged who have been modified genetically by a vampire-like disease (Hemophagia), giving them enhanced speed, incredible stamina and acute intelligence, and as they are set apart from "normal" and "healthy" humans, the world is pushed to the brink of worldwide civil war (a war between humans and hemophages) aimed at the destruction of the "diseased" population. In the middle of this crossed-fire is - an infected woman - Ultraviolet (Jovovich), who finds herself protecting a nine-year-old boy who has been marked for death by the human government as he is believed to be a threat to humans.
Milla Jovovich Ultraviolet
Now, if we really got lucky, expect a couple of scenes featuring Milla Jovovich wearing little to none. You know, none as in Resident Evil and little as in The Fifth Element.
Go to the official site for Ultraviolet over at Sony.
Ultraviolet will come out February 14th, 2006; a release date that has us already asking for a teaser trailer.
