The New World
Even though The New World hasn't been doing too well since it's limited engagement on December 25th, any new movie stills to add to the abysmal collection released by New Line Cinema is definitely worth showing off.
The New World Movie Stills
The good people over at Counting Down recently released a boatload of new movie stills for the film The New World starring Colin Farrell and Christian Bale. The stills do look pretty dang cool but you can still get that 'I love filming nature' feel that Terrence Mallick has been somewhat prone to. It could also be this filming style that is hurting the film with critics. If not that, maybe because the film is listed in the 'romance' genre; isn't this an adventure film?
The New World is an epic adventure set amid the encounter of European and Native American cultures during the founding of the Jamestown Settlement in 1607. Inspired by the legend of John Smith (Farrell) and Pocahontas, acclaimed filmmaker Terrence Malick transforms this classic story into a sweeping exploration of love, loss and discovery, both a celebration and an elegy of the America that was…and the America that was yet to come.
