After the sequel to Ocean's Eleven came to theatres, Ocean's Twelve, I figured that Warner Bros finally had it's fill of the franchise. Personally, I thought Ocean's Twelve wasn't nearly as good as the first film and was upset with how the final twist for the film was approached.
Of course the audience is going to be surprised at an ending they have no hints for. There was something so forced about Ocean's Twelve that I never thought we would be asking what is next for the film franchise, but here we are announcing that an Ocean's Thirteen is a big possibility.
Ocean's Twelve Sequel
According to Variety, Jerry Weintraub is in the early stages of creating the third film in the Ocean's Eleven film franchise. Brian Koppelman and David Levien have already begun working on the script for what is currently titled Ocean's Thirteen. Personally, I figured they would jump over thirteen like hotels do thanks to the fact that it is an unlucky number; maybe they weren't sure they could find an actor 'cool' enough to play number fourteen.
Steven Soderbergh will return to direct and the cast & crew are hoping to begin production by the end of the year.
