Hellboy Poster
One of the biggest questions about when or if we will have a sequel to Hellboy coming our way is whether or not Guillermo del Toro will join Peter Jackson and direct the adaptation of the best-selling video game Halo.
Ron Perlman, Hellboy himself, has recently sat down and mentioned a few details on the current developments (if any) on the film.
Hellboy 2 Talk
The good people over at IESB have recently caught up with Ron Perlman and got him to discuss the current happenings and possibilities for a sequel to Hellboy. They even went so far to ask of Ron would be willing to do the sequel if del Toro could not remain to direct.
What will happen if Guillermo del Toro decides to do Halo? Will Hellboy be pushed back?
RP:Hellboy is going to be a character in Halo. I am not a game player, I just turned on a computer recently. I don't know who the heroes of Halo are but they are all in trouble.
I guess it is a race, I don't know. This is the first I am hearing about it.
You didn't hear the script was turned in?
RP:Hellboy.. yeah. I heard the script for Hellboy 2 was turned in and that Guillermo was thrilled with how it turned out. If he is thrilled I am thrilled.
Do you think if Guillermo decides to do Halo will Dark Horse go with another director?
RP:I can't imagine anybody else but Guillermo making Hellboy and I couldn't imagine that he wouldn't want to make it if the studio greenlights it. However, that is a hypothetical question.
I would hate to be put in the position to have to do Hellboy without Guillermo.
Ron Perlman goes on to speak a bit more on hypothetical questions around Hellboy 2 and then discusses his other projects including Dungeon Siege.
