We were recently alerted to the next project from the writers who brought us Alone in the Dark, House of Dead 2 and the upcoming adaptation of Far Cry-- Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer. These two boys also have a bit to do with the upcoming adaptation Bloodrayne from director Uwe Boll.
Sticking with the 'blood' theme, the two writers-slash-producers have recently created a script and assembled a cast for their upcoming film Brotherhood of Blood.
Brotherhood of Blood Movie Preview
Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer have wrapped shooting on their
directorial debut, Brotherhood of Blood in Los Angeles.
Written by Roesch and Scheerer (Screenwriters of "Far Cry", "House of
the Dead 2: Dead Aim", "Alone in the Dark"), Brotherhood of Blood is a
claustrophobic thriller about a team of vampire hunters who infiltrate
a nest of undead to rescue one of their own. The film stars Sid Haig
("House of 1000 Corpses","The Devil Rejects"), Ken Foree ("Dawn of the
Dead", "The Devil Rejects"), Victoria Pratt ("House of the Dead 2",
"Mutant X"), Jason Connery ("Shanghai Noon"), Will Snow ("The Lost
World") and Rachel Grant ("James Bond: Die Another Day"). Juergen Popp
is Executive Producer, Nicole Ackermann and Mark Burman ("The Mangler
Reborn", "The Thirst") are the producers. Sascha Seifert and Scott
Pearlman ("The Mangler Reborn", "The Thirst") are Co-Producers, Calum
Waddell is Associate Producer.
"We´re thrilled to work with this exciting cast in the genre we love:
horror", says Roesch. "We tell a vampire story from a different
angle," says Scheerer, "and of course, there will be blood!"
Michael Roesch and Peter Scheerer are represented by Michael Shlain at
the Shapiro-Lichtman agency.
