After hearing all the interviews with Christian Bale and how his contract with Warner Bros could have him working with who knows how many Batman films including a possible Batman vs Superman we figured that the production of another Batman sequel would have started by now.
But no, instead all we hear is rumors and discussions on the next possible villains and the actors available to play each role. The ending of Batman Begins had already hinted at the Joker with rumors claiming either Adrien Brody or even Mark Hamill (at one time) was up for the role. But now it turns out that Warner Bros is already preparing a new villain in the making.
Harvey Dent to become Two Face
According to a report and interview over at IESB, a rumor has begun claiming that Josh Lucas could be a possibility for the role of Harvey Dent in the next Batman film. IESB asked Josh Lucas if he had been approached to play the role and he claimed he hadn't; but would be stoked to have the role if he was approached.
Since Joker should be the lead villain in the next Batman film it is expected that whoever does play Harvey Dent will not be able to turn to the dark side of Two Face until at least the end of the film (maybe the final battle?). In that case, Harvey Dent, aka Two Face, would become the lead villain in yet another Batman sequel.
