Rebecca Romijn
has always been a big player in the X-Men films. Playing the role of Mystique, a mutant who can transform into any other hottie mutant or just about anything else, this little lady has been one of the strengths behind Magneto.
In the original X-Men it was Mystique who was able to infiltrate Xavier's mansion and in X-Men 2 it was also her who was able to infiltrate and open up Stryker's dam base.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise the Mystique would be back for another round with X-Men 3 though her new found buddy, Nightcrawler, would remain on the sidelines.

The good people over at IESB have recently caught up to Rebecca Romijn at the 11th Annual Critics Choice Awards. Obviously, the word of the day for this actress was X3.
Rebecca had already finished her part in the film two months ago, even though filming continues to go on to this day.
How different was working on the third X-Men film when compared to the first two?
It's different, those two guys work differently. Brett Ratner has a ton of energy and is very over the top. Bryan Singer is very quiet and detail oriented.
You have read the script... a lot more action for you?
I got some exciting things to do. I have a little bit of a heartbreak, but not necessarily romantic.
Patrick recently said that this was the most exciting of the scripts.
I would say so, I would say most things happen in this one.
