Last week I was talking with Omar Aviles over at Joblo about the first 'movie poster' to be released for the adaptation of Eragon.
It turns out that the poster was more of a congratulations one-sheet created for author
Christopher Paolini and NOT an official movie poster. However, it was hard to deny the fact that the one-sheet congratulating Paolini looked awfully similar to one we had received only a couple days before it. Unfortunately, the poster leaked to us was only slightly bigger than the one displayed at Yahoo! Movies, meaning we couldn't do very much with it.
However, it turns out that Omar Aviles has been watching the Eragon circuit closely and has got his hands on the giant version of the mini-poster we had received earlier.
Aragon Movie Poster
Below is a smaller version of the Eragon poster posted by Omar Aviles over at Joblo. Looks pretty sweet right? Instead of a shadow showing off a twisted dragon 20th Century Fox does more of a raised stone effect with this one.
Also, if you look close, you can see that there is a blue color, or should I say Sapphire, shining through the rock. Is this the exact color that we can expect Eragon's dragon, Saphira, to be?
Eragon Movie Poster
Another nice little detail you might not have caught: Eragon is 'Dragon' with the 'D' being moved up one letter.
We have still come up empty on trying to discover what sort of production budget this film has received; working on it.
Eragon comes to theatres on
December 15th.
