James Franco in Spider-Man 2
Since we have recently given James Franco a bit of extra coverage thanks to his numerous roles of 2006 and 2007 we figured that one more piece of information wouldn't hurt.
Actually, the latest slip of the tongue could mean that we will witness a third villain in Spider-Man 3.
A Goblin for Spider-Man 3
By the beginning of the new school term, let's say September, we had become satisfied with the guess that James Franco would not become a villain till the end of Spider-Man 3; he would be similar to Anakin Skywalker in Attack of the Clones. Harry Osborn will be visible in Spider-Man 3 but we will probably not see the character in action inside a goblin suit. Or, that is at least what we were able to come up with after reading so many reports on the character.
However, according to the Matthew Mungle website, it looks like we can definitely count on seeing Harry Osborn wear a similar suit to that of his father.
Designed and created the make-up concept and appliances for James Franco in "Spiderman 3" to be applied by Luisa Abel.
Now the only question that remains is whether Harry Osborn will become Hobgoblin (a yellow version of Green Goblin) or the 2nd Green Goblin. If the movie is to remain faithful to the comicbooks, then we can count on Harry to become the 2nd Green Goblin. However, it seems that Sony may be afraid to have a villain with a similar title as the original and we have been told that Hobgoblin was more likely. Personally, we are hoping they stick with the comicbooks.
