The Wild
The addition of Disney's animation film The Wild has to be the icing on the cake when it comes to setting the record for most CG animated films in a single year. There are so many CG animations for 2006 that the list has grown too long to name them all. It looks like just about every studio now carries their own computer-generated animation division. Not that this is a bad thing, but 2006 will be the first true test of CG animated films. Instead of one or two films in this once-unique medium, 2006 offers about six. Can moviegoers get burned out on CG?
That being said, check out the preview released by Disney for their upcoming animation title The Wild; a CG animation quickly coming our way.
The Wild Movie Stills
Disney has released a short synopsis, a couple of movie stills and a flash teaser trailer for their upcoming Pixar-less animation The Wild. The film looks pretty good but it is hard to tell how good the animation itself looks due to the poor-resolution flash video.
The Wild follows a teenage lion from the New York Zoo who gets accidentally shipped to Africa and freed. His friends at the zoo including an older lion, a giraffe, an anaconda, and a squirrel must unite to bring him back.

As mentioned above, there is already a special internet-only teaser trailer available for The Wild, but it only comes in flash format through the Disney site. For now the link provided should work. After watching the annoying advertisement you should see the trailer kick in. If it does not, look around the page for anything about The Wild.
