Brandon Routh has been talking a lot of Superman Returns lately (how can he avoid it?) and, though he barely touches on any major details for the film, the actor talks about Bryan Singer and where Superman Returns actually fits in the series.
Superman Returns Talk
IESB has recently caught up with Brandon Routh at a function for Warner Bros and got him to discuss what it took to land the role of Superman and how we can expect the latest Bryan Singer film to fit into the overall franchise.
According to Routh, it took the arrival of Bryan Singer to secure his role as Superman. Singer did not even require a reading and selected Routh after watching him 'talk to the casting directors.' If only all big roles were so easy.
Besides discussing how he landed the role Brandon Routh says that Superman Returns is more of a sequel to Superman II. The biggest issue for Superman may be explaining himself to Lois Lane, who he bounced on with no warning or explanation.
A Superman vs. Batman? Well, Brandon Routh didn't seem to understand the gist behind the story and, for now, is against the idea.

Superman Returns comes to theatres on June 30th.
