Even though there are many who have come to know Jason Statham from films such as Lock, Stock and Two Smoking Barrels and the other Guy Richie film Snatch, the guy has been given more credit for his knack of martial arts. Beginning with his appearance besides Jet Li in the sci-fi martial arts film The One, Statham quickly began to turn into an action hero rather than a 'Turkish' or a 'Bacon.'
Soon after The One Jason Statham's flagship, The Transporter, appeared and he has forever become known as the white guy who can kick. Ok, that is not actually his nickname, but you know what I mean.
Sticking with the martial arts genre, it looks like Statham is ready to take on one of the quickest Asians on film-- Jet Li.
Statham to Star in Rogue
According to Production Weekly, Jason Statham is set to co-star with Jet Li in the upcoming action film Rogue.
Rogue will be directed by hip-hop video director Philip Atwell, who will be making his feature video debut with the film.
The story centers on Jack Crawford (Statham), who when his partner Tom Lone and Lone's family are killed by an assassin for the Chang crime family, he becomes obsessed with finding the elusive and brutal killer, Rogue (Jet Li).
Cory Yuen, who has previous experience with Jason Statham on The Transporter, will handle the fight choreography between Statham and Jet Li.
