Silent Hill Movie Poster
Tristar Pictures has just released the full movie trailer for the upcoming adaptation Silent Hill today and the film looks pretty good for the most part.
Silent Hill Trailer
Silent Hill is based on the Konami game in which Rose (Mitchell) desperately searches for her lost daughter in the mysterious, terrifying town of Silent Hill, where they are trapped.
With a new trailer available for Silent Hill you would think that Tristar Pictures would now have a full synopsis available for us. The official site for the film only has an intro, a poster contest and a way to register for updates.
For the first two-thirds of the Silent Hill trailer the film looks rock solid creepy. However, the last twenty-seconds, where shit gets a bit crazy, leaves me with a couple doubts on the film. One problem I have with the adaptation is just the fact that it is an adaptation of a popular video game and history now tells us that these films don't usually turn out well.
One of the biggest perks for Silent Hill is actor Sean Bean (Lord of the Rings, Equilibrium), who plays a father trying to get his wife and daughter out of the hidden dimension known as Silent Hill. The guy is not known for picking bad films or roles and has been my sole beacon of faith in the project.
