Ben Stiller in Dodgeball
I am not going to lie-- I thought Dodgeball was a horrible comedy that did not have me, nor my group of friends, laughing in hysterics before leaving the theatre. Actually, I thought the film was downright silly and while still in my theatre chair I dreamed of the days of Anchorman.
You disagree? Come on! The film was hoping you'd laugh at a guy who thought he was a pirate! Stupid!
Wait, you did think that was funny? Well... then I have some good news.
Superman Returns Spoilers
According to Variety, DreamWorks payed $1 million to pick up a pitch from the same people who brought us Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story-- Ben Stiller (producer, actor), Rawson Marshall Thurber (writer-director) and Stuart Cornfeld (producer).
With this team we should probably assume there will be another pirate or two to help fill in the laughs.
The project currently remains under a tight lid with no released title.
The film is supposedly a high-concept money that currently will not star Ben Stiller. However, it is expected that Stiller will eventually join the cast for the film as well.
You can see Ben Stiller next in Night at the Museum.
