2006 may become known as the year of CG animations and the greatest part is that there are now a ton of picture houses willing to try their hand at the advanced cartoon genre. Take for instance Open
Season, the upcoming CG animation from Columbia Pictures/Sony. Judging by the teaser trailer and first movie stills the film looks pretty solid and, for a bit of icing on the teaser cake, the poster looks sweet as well.

Lawrence, Debra Messing, Gary Sinise, and Paul Westerberg.

Open Season tells the story about a deer
who buddies up with a domesticated grizzly bear when the two animals are
alone in the woods during hunting season. Meanwhile, Beth, a forest ranger
who raised the bear, embarks on a desperate search to find her friend.
