Brendon Fraser in Crash
An interesting ensemble of actors has come together to star in the upcoming crime drama The Air I Breathe. Seriously, who would have ever imagined seeing Andy Garcia, Brendan Fraser, Emile Hirsch and Forest Whitaker on the screen at the same time?
Priest Adaptation gets Douglas and Raimi
According to THR, Garcia, Fraser, Hirsch and Whitaker are joining up with Korean director Jieho Lee to create The Air I Breathe.
To make the ensemble cast even more interesting; the four will join Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kevin Bacon on the film, which is scheduled to begin production this upcoming Saturday in Mexico City.
The Air I Breathe is based on a Chinese proverb that breaks down the whole of human existence into four emotional elements -- happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love -- and that these elements are intertwined. Happiness (Whitaker) is a spiritually bereft banker, Pleasure (Fraser) a gangster who can see the future, Sorrow (Gellar) is a reckless female pop star and Love (Bacon) a desperate doctor. Their stories are all linked by a crime boss (Garcia). Hirsch will play Garcia's nephew.
Jieho Lee wrote the script for The Air I Breathe with the help of Bob DeRosa.
Paul Schiff, Emilio Diez Barroso, and Darlene Caamano are producing the film. NALA Films is financing the picture.
