Here is a brief update for all of you fans anxiously awaiting the arrival of Dan Brown's best-selling novel, The Da Vinci Code, to the bigscreen.
First off, the film still continues to battle with V for Vendetta for top ten most anticipated films at CanMag.Com and it fortunately still has a gap between it and number eleven on the list.
More importantly, Sony Pictures has recently updated the official site for The Da Vinci Code with computer-stopping flash and extra features.
Da Vinci Code Site Updates
The official site for The Da Vinci Code, www.sodarktheconofman.com, has recently gone live with an updated synopsis, gallery, character guide (needs to be unlocked) and games. The game 'Symbol Logic' was interesting and I was able to complete it in a time of 1: 14. Can you beat it?
I didn't take the time to look for the symbols required to unlock the character profiles, but let's just say that they better be pretty f*@king cool if Sony is going to make us work for them.
While in Paris on business, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon (Tom Hanks) receives an urgent late-night phone call: the elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum. Near the body, police have found a baffling cipher. While working to solve the enigmatic riddle, Langdon is stunned to discover it leads to a trail of clues hidden in the works of Da Vinci -- clues visible for all to see -- yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.
Langdon joins forces with a gifted French cryptologist, Sophie Neveu, and learns the late curator was involved in the Priory of Sion -- an actual secret society whose members included Sir Isaac Newton, Botticelli, Victor Hugo, and Da Vinci, among others.
