Julian McMahon as Dr Doom
Back in October we posted an interview with Julian McMahon where he claimed that he would definitely be back for a sequel to Fantastic Four. However, he went on to admit that if there were any films after FF 2 he would be out of the picture.
Fantastic Four director Tim Story has recently backed Julian McMahon's statement by claiming that we can bet on the return of Doom; but not the same Doom we have come to know in the first film.
Fantastic Four 2 Talk
The good people over at LatinoReview quickly touched base with Tim Story and got the director to mention whatever details he could with Fantastic Four 2 currently in pre-production.
Story admitted that Dr Doom would return and that there is a possibility, though minor, that Puppet Master will make an appearance.
I ended up chatting with him for like 5 minutes or so and of course I had to go around the question regarding the Puppet Master like is Kerry Washington going to be in the sequel, "Kerry will have a larger role in the sequel" Story said.
And finally I asked Story that towards the end of the first film, it left it wide open that Doom will be back, so will he? "Yes that I can tell you. He will be back in full DOOM, not like we had him in the first film."

Fanstastic Four 2 has a release date set for July 4th, 2007. If you remember, the original film was pushed off this same release by War of the Worlds.
