Running Scared Running Scared
After watching the first trailer for the upcoming film Running Scared starring Paul Walker I do admit to having hopes set extremely high for this film. Hell, it stars Paul Walker, a casting move that can quickly turn any film into another Fast and the Furious.

A few weeks back New Line Cinema gave us an uppercut right to our taint with the release of the first eight minutes of the film. Holy shit, this film looks just as gritty as it does cool.

However, was the 'first eight minutes' a solid representation of what the entire film was going to be like or just a tease to draw us into theatres?

Running Scared Review

The good people over at AICN have recently posted the first review (that we have seen) for Running Scared. Not only is the review extremely positive but it is from a person who claims that they are not a big fan of Paul Walker; like most other moviegoers not in their teens.|

Well, for the very first time in RUNNING SCARED, I really like Paul Walker. In this, his eyes are not so bright, his face... not so clean. He's scared, frantic and dangerously out of control. Amazing what a role that doesn't play to his good looks can do for a Ken doll actor. Amazing what Wayne Kramer has done with Paul Walker.

Personally I can’t wait to see this one again, which is a very cool thing to say, as this wasn’t a film I was really looking forward to, other than to just see the “next Wayne Kramer film.” Instead, it’s a movie brimming with great performances from Cameron Bright to Vera Farmiga to Chazz Palminteri to Karel Roden and John Noble. It’s surprisingly creepy and fucked up. Not a very safe film, where anything could be around the next corner.

If this film does turn out to be sweet I will have to begin forgiving Paul Walker for his role in Timeline. I have already begun to forgive Gerard Butler so figure I should start spreading the love to the rest of the cast. (FYI: I thought Timeline was going to be the best adapted movie from author Michael Crichton. Boy was I wrong)

Running Scared was pushed from January 6 to February 26th.
