A while back we alerted our readers of an upcoming movie titled Fanboys. Though normally a film would not get that much attention discussing with a such a simple title and no cast, Fanboys had something to do with Star Wars geeks.
Now, since a majority of the moviegoer population has a little bit of Star Wars geek in them, the film was bound to get some exaggerated coverage.
And now that Kevin Spacey's Trigger Street has got four cast members in negotiations for the film, including one hottie, our interest in the movie has peaked even more.
Fanboys Get Cast
According to THR, Kristen Bell, Jay Baruchel, Chris Marquette and Sam Huntington are in final negotiations to play Star Wars geeks in Fanboys.
Kristen Bell is known best for her involvement in Deadwood (she is the chick that gets killed), Veronica Mars, and can be seen in the upcoming film Pulse.
Jay Baruchel has appeared in films such as Fetching Cody and Million Dollar Baby and had a part in the television series The Stones.
Chris Marquette played Eli in the Girl Next Door and also has a role in the upcoming release Alpha Dog.
Sam Huntington played Ox in the parody film Not Another Teen Movie and will be Jimmy Olsen in the upcoming Bryan Singer pic Superman Returns.
The movie, written by Adam F. Goldberg and Ernest Cline, follows four Star Wars fanboys -- geek parlance for extreme fans -- from the Midwest who drive across the country to honor the wish of their dying friend: to see the yet-unreleased Star Wars: Episode I -- The Phantom Menace in its most optimal setting, George Lucas' Skywalker Ranch.
Dan Fogler has already signed on and shooting is set to begin this February.
