Justin Timberlake in Alpha Dog
MovieFone has recently alerted us that they have posted a boatload of 'Unscripted' interviews from Sundance 2006.
Unscripted Interviews
In the most recent episodes of Moviefone's original "Unscripted" series, the stars and filmmakers of The Sundance Film Festival went one on one to interview each other about their latest projects. Check out Unscripted featuring the hottest stars at Sundance including Justin Timberlake and Emile Hirsch, stars of Alpha Dog; The Beastie Boys discuss their film, Awesome: I F&!#in' Shot That Movie in our first-ever three-way Unscripted; Matt Dillon and Lili Taylor of Factotum; Joseph Fiennes and Wilmer Valderrama of The Darwin Awards; Julia Stiles and Jeremy Renner of A Little Trip to Heaven and more.
The list above is only a small preview of the dozen or so interviews they have over at MovieFone.
However, after watching a few of the interviews (didn't want to take a day watching them all), I have to admit that the interview for Alpha Dog was one of the best.
Alpha Dog is Justin Timberlake's breakout film performance that should give him a nice boost in the industry. Emile Hirsch, known for his role in Girl Next Door, is featured in a completely opposite role than his fans are used to. Both actors play 'bad' guys who commit a heinous crime that goes down in history.
The two young actors then go on to discuss the difference between full-budget blockbusters and indie films. According to Hirsch, the issue with most the films that appear at Sundance is the fact that great scripts can be hurt with poor production value; due mostly in part to low-budgets or rushed production.
Timberlake earned a couple kudos with me in his interview when he points out that one of the best aspects to a film is the musical score; sweet.
