Running Scared
Considering that the New Line film starring Paul Walker, Running Scared, has surprised us on more than a few occasions and now has us wanting to catch the film on opening day, I was glad to see that New Line Cinema felt the same way and gave the film a bit of Super Bowl commercial time.
Running Scared Super Bowl Spot
The best way to describe the Super Bowl spot for Running Scared is that it is a condensed, PG-rated, version of the six minutes uncut that hit the web a month back.
Sure, the spot allows the film to show off a few of its many cool elements, but the overall grittiness of the film gets left out due to the shortened running time.
Hopefully the TV spot brought enough extra attention to Running Scared that enough Super Bowl spectators went online to catch the first six minutes of the film.
Paul Walker (The Fast and the Furious) stars in the fast-paced crime drama Running Scared from critically acclaimed director Wayne Kramer (The Cooler). Walker plays a low-level mobster who, in order to save his family, must recover a gun used in a mob hit before it's found by his bosses or the cops. Co-starring Chazz Palminteri (The Usual Suspects).
Running Scared has already received a couple positive reviews and could be the dark horse upon its release later this month.
