Now that Warner Bros is warming up production for the upcoming sequel, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, we figured it was time to start keeping track of the next Potter film to come our way. Actually, I should just say that it is time to get geeked once again on Potter.
Without a new book until late 2007 or 2008, it looks like the film Order of the Phoenix is the next best thing to come for Potter fans.
In preparation for the film we have already given the first photo album of the new cast for Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix and we have now been alerted that Dan Radcliffe quickly discusses what is next for Potter.
Dan Radcliffe on Order of the Phoenix
MTV recently took a quick look at the new cast for Order of the Phoenix and got Dan Radcliffe to discuss what challenges face Harry Potter for his fifth year at Hogwarts.
Radcliffe prepared for "Phoenix" by meeting with a bereavement counselor so he could understand survivor's guilt, since his two main relationships in this film — with his godfather Sirius Black and new girlfriend Cho Chang — are grounded in a mutual need to bond with another person after a great, shared loss.
"Sirius is clinging on to James (Harry's father and Sirius' best friend) through me, and I'm trying to know my father through him," Radcliffe said. "The same thing happens with me and Cho. I was the last person there when her last boyfriend, Cedric, was killed."
Those who have read Order of the Phoenix know that we have a devastating death heading our way for the next film. If you haven't read the book yet, head out to your local bookstore and get reading.
