I loved Jean Reno in the awesome film, The Professional [aka Leon]. Actually,
I like him and Martin. I just hope these roles don't tarnish my feelings.
Got some new movie trailers for you. While I can't
say any of them were too impressive, the best option seems to be The
Weather Man, starring Nicolas Cage and Michael Cane.
Pink Panther Trailer with Steve Martin
Might as well start with what seems the worst of them first. The Pink
Panther, starring Steve Martin, Jean Reno, Beyoncé Knowles,
and Kevin Kline, looks like the cheapest of cheap comedy. Little gags like
flying objects and a made up accent should not carry this film.
While Sahara does cause me to have some major National Treasure
flashbacks [this film doesn't look as good], it looks though the film may
be able to throw something at least a little different. While a lot of people
may not agree with me on this one, I think the ultimate perk of the film
will come from Steve Zahn as Al Giordino. I think Zahn is hilarious, and
the role provided to him in Sahara may just suit him perfectly.
Of course, Penolope Cruz with a slinky sand outfit wouldn't hurt either.
The best looking trailer of the bunch. Cage is back in a role similar to
The Family Man. However, this time there is no spiritual healing
or second chances. While Cage is a successful Weather Man [highly
successful for two hours a day], he constantly struggles with life away
from work. Cage's character, Dave Spritz, is the son of a successful writer
name Robert Spritz [Michael Cane]. Dave has problems at home and little
respect out of office. He is showered with food once about every two months,
something that his father has a hard time understanding.
The best part of the trailer is the highlight reel of Cage being smacked with various food items.
