With no feature poster, no new speeding bulletins and no more movie stills, we have begun to crave an update for Superman Returns as much as some crave crack; I had the shakes... seriously.
Fortunately, we have finally got our fix from Bryan Singer who discusses his upcoming film plus the possibility of him working on a Star Trek movie.
Singer Talks Superman and Star Trek
The good people over at IESB were able to get Bryan Singer to answer a few questions after the press conference over at WonderCon.
In the interview Bryan Singer tells how the running time for Superman Returns is currently over the two-and-a-half hour mark and that is something the director is working to cut down. However, according to Singer, Warner Bros has not been giving any added pressure to cut the film.
The interview then jumps into whose idea it was to bring Brandon Routh along for the WonderCon convention. Bryan Singer claims he hates talking for prolonged periods and was glad to have somebody else take the microphone.
In a previous interview between IESB and Bryan Singer, Singer had mentioned that he was interested in doing a Star Trek movie. This remark obviously created a ton of buzz and during this interview Singer gets hit with the similar question-- Does Bryan Singer really want to make a Star Trek movie? Well, he doesn't say, but he sure does sound like he is excited about the series.
The interview then goes on to cover Logan's run and whether the success of The Island had any effect on that project.
