Transformers
I guess we should expect more frequent updates from Michael Bay on the Transformers ever since the director alerted fans that the film is currently his number one concern (here). Upon his first alert, Michael Bay finished by asking what was to be expected of the robot action. After receiving multiple responses from fans online, Michael Bay gives us another update claiming that the animatics for the film are considered 'mind blowing' by some of the more avid fans who were allowed a glimpse of what to expect.
Transformers Bay Developments
Below is a snippet from the latest post by Michael Bay on his upcoming film Transformers.
Unlike last time, the director (thankfully) decided that ALL-CAPS was not the way to go.
The prep for the movie is going well. The military looks like it is going to support the film which is a big deal in giving the movie scope and credibility. The Pentagon has always been great with me because I make our military look good.
All the posts and talk about the original voices --- could we just let it rest for a while? I heard everyone, I'm thinking about it. We are reinventing how the robots look, transform and move - Remember these are the most realistic Transformers you will have ever seen. They have to fit completely into the human world to make this live action film credible. I have shown the animatics and some of the hundreds of drawings - TO THE MOST RELIGIOUS OF FANS - they tell me they are "mind-blowing" and "take it to a level they never considered" - I guess that's good? Time will tell.
Michael Bay goes on to claim that he will be working close to the fans with this one in order to avoid another domestic flop like The Island; I didn't say it!
