Disney/Pixar has recently released a new TV spot for their upcoming animation Cars. The TV spot is very similar to the Super Bowl spot except we can now add a bit of rock music and a few additional scenes.
Cars TV Spot
The new TV spot for Cars concentrates solely on a Nascar-looking race. There are a few new scenes that leave the race for a fraction of a moment, so you may catch something yet to be shown in the previous trailer or TV spot; but watch closely. I love how they have a car selling antenna balls in the stands.
Lightning McQueen (voiced by Wilson), a hotshot rookie race car driven to succeed, discovers that life is about the journey, not the finish line, when he finds himself unexpectedly detoured in the sleepy Route 66 town of Radiator Springs. On route across the country to the big Piston Cup Championship in California to compete against two seasoned pros, McQueen gets to know the town’s offbeat characters –including Sally (a snazzy 2002 Porsche voiced by Hunt), Doc Hudson (a 1951 Hudson Hornet with a mysterious past, voiced by Newman), and Mater (a rusty but trusty tow truck voiced by Larry the Cable Guy) – who help him realize that there are more important things than trophies, fame and sponsorship.
Cars is the seventh animated feature to be created by Pixar Animation Studios and released by Walt Disney Pictures. Now that the two picture houses have permanently teamed up, we should expect more animated films of high caliber in the upcoming years; instead of straight-to-video sequels from Disney.
Watch the latest TV spot for Cars by going to Inside Line.
Cars will be released to theatres on June 9th, 2006.
