One of our largest complaints surrounding Ultraviolet was the lack of marketing the film received from Sony Screen Gems. Like Kurt Wimmer's last film, Ultraviolet looked like it was not going to get the necessary marketing it deserved. Fortunately, as the release date for the film now quickly approaches, Sony has stepped up its game with TV spots, clips and featurettes.
Ultraviolet Movie Clips
We have been alerted that Yahoo! Movies has posted a few new movie clips and a couple of slideshows for the Ultraviolet.
The slideshows feature new production photos, concept art and weapons schematics. The weapons used in Ultraviolet are unique, making the schematics pretty cool to look at.
Other than the slideshows there are also three new movie clips for Ultraviolet that feature Jovovich kicking quite a bit of ass. The clips look decent, but a little too doctored for my taste. Unlike the fluid flow of filming used during the fight sequences in Equilibrium, Kurt Wimmer uses a lot more cuts to make the fights happen in Ultraviolet.
I am also still trying to figure out why the soldiers fighting Violet wear glass suits; doesn't that defeat the initial purpose?

If Sony Screen Gems continues at this new pace for Ultraviolet, we should be able to expect a few more movie clips for the film by the end of the week..
