The release of the black Spidy outfit for Spider-Man 3 has created one heck of a stir. The first question to come to our mind was whether or not we could consider the image as a confirmation for Venom. Well, Columbia Pictures and Sam Raimi aren't talking yet; but what else could the black outfit mean?
We even got a little carried away and took a closer look at the reflection in Spider-Man's eye. What some have considered to be buildings and a skyline in the reflection, we have found what looks to be a mask or face of some sort also looking down (here).
Spider-Man 3 Wearing a Better Black?
While we sat around and thought about how cool Spider-Man looked in his new outfit there were others who thought they could do one better. Instead of just removing all the flamboyant colors from Spider-Man's costume how about updating the entire design to fit the look?
One such fan edited the image provided by Columbia Pictures to give an outfit more faithful to the comics and sent it over to AICN.
Below is the original image released by Sony and the second image is the doctored version. Which one do you like better?

I have got to hand it to whoever made this, as the doctored suit looks just as cool as the original. However, we could go either way on Raimi's final choice of outfit; just keep the storyline up to Spider-Man standards.
