Sony Pictures has recently released a set of sketch designs and concept in order to take us behind the scenes of their upcoming animation Open
Season.

Season features a cast of voices that includes Ashton Kutcher, Martin
Lawrence, Debra Messing, Gary Sinise, and Paul Westerberg.
The animation tells the story of a deer who buddies up with a domesticated grizzly bear when the two animals are alone in the woods during hunting season. Meanwhile, Beth, a forest ranger who raised the bear, embarks on a desperate search to find her friend.
So far Sony has impressed us with the first poster (right) and teaser trailer for the film scheduled to come our way after summer begins to wind down.
In anticipation of the film's release, MovieFone has released the first behind-the-scenes slideshow for Open Season that shows off some early sketches of the characters and concept art.

"Ashton Kutcher is Elliot," says cartoonist Steve Moore. Sure, the scrawny, one-antlered buck could talk himself out of a 'Punk'd' episode, but the animators wouldn't entirely agree. Animation Supervisor Todd Wilderman explained that characters were split amongst four supervisors. "Pretty much every shot the animators do they put themselves into it."
Open Season comes to theatres on September 29th.
