Indiana Jones
Back in February Steven Spielberg announced that
Indiana
Jones 4 would be his next project. However, in what looks
to be because of more script delays, Spielberg has decided to take a little
time off and begin touching up on his Abe Lincoln project.
Is Indy ever going to return to the bigscreen?
Indy 4 Delayed... Again
I can still remember when Lucas announced that
they had a finished script for Indiana Jones IV back in September.
After doing so, Lucas changed his position by stating that the script will
be done by 2005; with a 'for sure' stamp attached.
Jeff Nathanson, who wrote the first draft of the Indy 4 script,
has been working close with Lucas and Spielberg ever since last fall. Though
all three claim they are making progress, Spielberg has recently announced
that Indiana Jones 4 has dropped down a spot or two on his to-do
list. Due to what we believe to be further delays, Spielberg has decided
to take an extended break after having a busy 2005 with both Munich
and War of the
Worlds.
Fox
News recently caught up with Spielberg and had this to report
on the director's upcoming projects.
"Munich" director Steven Spielberg will take a year off from moviemaking, he told me last night at the Academy Governor’s Ball.
Having Spielberg temporarily drop off the project
may be a bad sign, but the report gets even worst when Spielberg himself
announces that they have picked up a new scribe to work on the script.
David Koepp (Spider-Man, War of the Worlds) is the new
face working with Lucas and Spielberg to create a finalized screenplay.
For the entire report on Spielberg and Indiana Jones IV, head over
to Fox
News.
Indiana Jones 4 will be released when ever Lucas and Spielberg
are damn good and ready.
