Bale as Batman ?
Got some nice new media updates for you for two
HUGE films of 2005. While King Kong and Batman Begins
are neither on the CanMag Top Ten Films List, in time I'm sure they will
move themselves up [actually, Batman Begins just became tenth].
Bale Suited as Batman for Batman Begins
Remember that Christian Bale had lost 60 pounds [1/3 of his body weight]
to shoot The Machinist. Immediately after, Bale went to work to
put the pounds and muscle mass back on. Well, considering that the Batman
suit has muscles built in, it wasn't all that necessary for Bale to get
huge like he was in Equilibrium.
Well, check out how Bale looks in the suit with the picture above. Man,
I'm getting a Michael Keaton sensation down the back of my spine [which
can only mean good things]. This is the suit we see Bale [Bruce Wayne] painting
during the Batman Begins trailer.
KongisKing.Net has become one of Jackson's favorite scoop sites. This, of
course, can be due to the fact that Peter Jackson is in the director's chair
for the remake of King Kong, starring Naomi Watts, Jack Black,
Adrien Brody, and Andy Serkis. Well, since it is the holidays, Jackson was
kind enough to send a video diary over to the good people at KongisKing.Net.
Jackson gives a hello at the beginning of the diary. Notice that the man
has lost some weight since we've seen him last.
The video shows a Christmas challenge that Jackson puts on for the entire
cast and crew. What is the challenge? To guess how many setups have been
uses so far for King Kong. An example given is a scene with four cameras...
that is four setups. Every time that camera moves, changes a lens, or changes
film speed... that is a new setup. Pretty cool contest and gives an idea
on what a cool crew that Jackson carries around with him.
Now, JACKSON, listen up! If you wanted to send a video
diary over to CanMag.Com, we got a server standing by to handle the bandwidth
for hosting the video file. Heck, maybe it will push King Kong into the
Top Ten over on our site. :)
